Q. Are my photos safe?

A. Yes, your photos are completely safe. If you scan and email your photos to me, there is absolutely no risk. If you're mailing your photos, the safest way is via a trackable service like United Postal Service (UPS), FedEx, or the United States Postal Service (USPS). All of these services are extremely efficient. Your originals will be returned unchanged, along with a CD for your viewing pleasure.

Q. What will my photos look like when they're finished?

A. This all depends on what condition your original photos are in. I do my best to make your photos look as close to original as feasible, unless you you give me specific instructions, for example, change the photo from color to black and white, delete an area on the original photo, or enhance a specific area. The choice is really up to you.

Q. I've noticed other scanning sites charge less to scan slides?

A. Yes, you will find large companies who charge a lower price for slide scanning. They are high volume scanning companies. Be sure you are getting what you pay for and read the fine print. I am not a high volume scanning company nor do I want to be. Vintage Photo Revival is independently owned and operated. I strive for fast, efficient, and professional service to you. I do what I love and want to help others discover their past by reawakening their old photos.

Q. How soon will my photos be returned?

A. Timing depends on two factors: my workload, and the difficulty and time required to restore your photo(s). After contacting me, I give you estimates of cost and the time it will take to return your photos. Time can range anywhere from 5 to 14 days, probably sooner.

Q. Can I pay extra for a quick turn-around time?

A. Yes. If you need your photos in a hurry, I charge a "priority fee," which is stated up front when you contact me for the work.

Q. Can you scan awkward-sized photos?

A. I can scan any photo or document shape

Q. How about over-sized documents or photos?

A. Yes, but there is a $25 additional charge.

Q. What is your policy for scanning professionally copyrighted materials?

A. Due to copyright laws, I am unable to scan any professionally taken image that is copyrighted.

Q. What happens if my order is lost?

A. In the highly unlikely event your photos are lost using a trackable service, Vintage Photo Revival cannot be responsible.

Please understand that I have no control over the mailing service(s) you choose. In the highly unlikely event your photos are misplaced, lost, or damaged, Vintage Photo Revival is not liable and there will be no payment or compensation of any kind. I assume no responsibility for any loss or damage during transport to Vintage Photo Revival.

Q. Can you arrange all my photos in an album?

A. Yes, I certainly can. Prices vary, depending on the number of photos in the album and whether or not the album is soft or hard cover. Prices begin at $17.99 for a softcover and $39.99 for hard-bound -- plus shipping charges.

Q. Is your work guaranteed?

Yes. Vintage Photo Revival's work is 100% guaranteed. If you're not completely satisfied with the quality of work and service, you don't pay.
